Leading lines are lines in a picture that lead you to the emphasis. They can go straight to the emphasis or they can lead you through out the whole picture. The lines don't necessarily have to be lines. They can be anything that leads you to the emphasis. In this picture for example, the bricks with the water in it leads you to the trees and everything in the back ground.
